Pinky Khonjuju's Macrame journey is one you will recognize all too well. Like many young engineers, her corporate life had left her feeling ungratified. So, when she was introduced to the art of macramé-making by her sister, she was immediately drawn to this new hobby and found herself spending more and more time exploring the possibilities of macramé-making.
As she delved deeper into this textile art form, Pinky started to share her designs on Instagram and was pleasantly surprised by the response she received. People were reaching out to her, eager to buy her pieces, and this encouragement fueled her love for macramé-making some more. She started to experiment with new and more complex designs, and her work quickly gained recognition in the crafting community.
And, she didn't stop there. She was determined to grow and take her art to greater heights, she was determined to make it a sustainable business. She started selling her pieces through Instagram and at exhibitions, always striving to be better and putting her heart into every knot she tied.
When we came across her work on Instagram, we instantly knew that we wanted her work at The Unallome, for all our guests to enjoy and experience.
Today, Pinky is mindfully growing TrulyThreadful, her business, and is creating soulful pieces that bring joy and color to various spaces.
